ABOUT US

Cutting edge clinical research

BLC Clinic Research has been conducting high-quality medical research for more than 15 years. In conjunction with world-leading pharmaceutical companies, we have participated in more than 100 clinical trials. Many of these trials have led to important advances in the treatment of such diseases as COPD, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, asthma, chronic cough, pulmonary fibrosis and bronchiectasis. Results from these trials have been published in prestigious international medical journals.

WHAT ARE CLINICAL TRIALS?

Clinical trials are essential investigations into new drugs and treatments for medical conditions. They are conducted by specially trained teams of doctors, nurses and technicians who follow strict protocols. These protocols ensure that the information from the trial is accurate and reliable and, most importantly, that the health and safety of the patients who volunteer to participate are protected.

COPD STUDIES

COPD is a chronic condition of the lungs, usually related to smoking tobacco, but other factors have been identified. It results in progressive airflow obstruction that is only minimally reversible. The disease is further aggravated by exacerbations (flare-ups), particularly for severe COPD.

We conduct COPD studies on mild to very severe disease. Often the trials are targeted toward patients who have frequent exacerbations/flare-ups of their condition. Many of the medications available for COPD have been tested at our clinic.
